Class 3 is Year 3 and Year 4 and the teacher is Mr Martin.
Class 3 parent planning Summer 19
Our Learning
Tuesday 30th April was sustainability day. Class 3 learned about climate change and how it was affecting Alpacas in Peru. They had to design a shelter to help keep the Alpacas warm and dry.
Thursday 14th March saw Class 3 learning outside. We were making dens and learning about teamwork, problem solving and sustainability. We also learned that sticks are great fun!
Brilliant. I liked building our own teepee, we worked together as a team.

I liked the stick den. I could see the clouds when I lay on the leaf mattress.
Evan.
Stick aerobics was fun, making our hands go up the sticks and down again.
George
It was fun. My favourite thing was making our own den with really big sticks and Rio helped us.
Alicia-Grace.
It was exhausting. I had fun when my team had to strengthen the den.

We had a busy this Autumn term. In October we took part in a Tag Rugby Festival at Staindrop Academy
In November we visited Bowes Museum as part of our work on the Stone age
In December we were back at Staindrop Academy to take part in a Multi Skills Festival

Class 4 is Year 5 and Year 6 and the teacher is Mrs Kidd.

Year 6 Leaver’s Service at Durham Cathedral 2019
The victorious netball squad. The A team won the tournament at Alun Armstring Sports Centre yesterday. The final was against Bowes. Ingleton, Woodland and Butterknowle also took part.
Bowes Museum Visit
Class 4 visited the WW1 Exhibition at the Bowes Museum to learn more about the role of local people in WW1. We viewed artefacts, listened to a story about a local teenager who enlisted and made a sweetheart pin-cushion.
